Hotel Equatorial Ho Chi Minh City donated VND 12,768,000 to the Saigon Children Charity. The money was raised from the “Hawaiian Gala Dinner” event held on August 2 at the hotel’s Grand Ballroom.
On December 17, 2007, representatives of Henkel and SCC opened a new schoolbuilding in Tay Ninh, The schoolbuilding was built by Saigon Children’s Charity (SCC) with a 10.000 EUR sponsoring program of Henkel’s world wide Henkel Smile initiative.
On the end of the last September, Mr Tanikawa Hiroshi,
president and Mr Masayashi Endo, secretary general
of Asian Education and Friendship Association
(AEFA) and Gypsy Queen Musical Band from
Japan visited Hieu Tu A primary school in Tieu Can
District, Tra Vinh Province and Thang Long school
in District 4, Ho Chi Minh City.
Girls from Thang Long school had lots of fun and
gained new skills after their six week Rugby training
course in the Saigon Country Club in District 2.
The school campaigns are successful not only in the
large charity donations raised but also in the meaning
that they bring to both receivers and givers.
