Announcement on new Head of Programmes

Greetings from Nguyen Thi Duy Huong, new Head of Programmes

I am delighted to be taking on the new role as Head of Programmes. First of all, my sincere THANK YOU to all of SCC’s donors, supporters, colleagues and friends for your fantastic support and close accompaniment during the last 4 years when I was managing the Development and Integration Programme; THANK YOU to our Trustees, to Tim, SCC’s Director and to my wonderful colleagues for the trust you have in me when you handed me this new role; and THANK YOU to my predecessor – Ngan Giang – whose enthusiasm and passion for the work of supporting disadvantaged children has become my inspiration for continuing the great job she has done.

Being part of SCC is a real joy and honour for both my personal and professional life. By wholeheartedly participating and contributing to SCC’s work together with my colleagues in the past years, I’ve been able to truly feel and share the sufferings of many unfortunate lives of children and young people, and later on to enjoy their satisfactory smiles and happiness when the doors into their life becoming wider and brighter. Such experience is so worthwhile for me to continue my full dedication in the good cause of SCC’s work.

I’m very aware that SCC will not be able to get to the end of our journey to bring a better start for unfortunate children and youngsters if there is not the precious support from donors, supporters and friends; the interest, care and cooperation of local partners; and the great efforts of parents and children. Therefore I strongly believe that it is only by working together that we can develop to make SCC a more professional, committed, helpful and friendly companion/supporter of disadvantaged children and young people.

Thank you again for your ongoing support. I look forward to being on the journey with you all in the coming time.
